A little about us...

The Guiding Tree is the product of a long evolutionary process. Beginning as "The Goddess Gallery" in 1992 on Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland, the shop began serving the needs of the Pagan, Metaphysical and New Age communities. Specializing in art that portrayed the Divine Feminine in many forms, the shop gained a widespread reputation. In 2006, the original owners retired and the new owner, Jay GreenMan continued and expanded on the plan.

By remodeling the Hawthorne Blvd. location, the shop was able to begin offering spiritual readings and small group classes. In 2008, the shop moved to it's new location on Division Street and adopted the new name, The Guiding Tree. The emphasis has grown to include a wider inter-faith focus and an extensive range of Body~Mind~Spirit related activities.

Now, the shop offers not only a wide range of merchandise, but also Spiritual Readers, Hypnotherapists, Reiki Practioners, as well as Meditation Circles, Dance Classes, Yoga, Discussion Groups and lots more. You are invited to participate in the ongoing story of the shop and its new aspect as a Body~Mind~Community Center! We are here to serve you and the metaphysical community of Portland and to help build that community with your involvment.
